Meet Jessica; the now 7 year old hippo with a very different lifestyle than most if not all of her species.

Jessica was rescued from a flooded river by the very same man who raised her since she was very little.

She now lives in their backyard and she absolutely loves it!

She goes in and out of the house looking for food like just another member of the family; and even though hippos are considered extremely dangerous and aggressive, this mellow beauty is all love and tenderness.

the bond between her and the man who saved her is stronger than anything i’ve ever seen; and they feel the exact same way!
