We all can appreciate the beauty of a horse. Even when a horse is simply standing up, there is beauty emanating off of it.
There is something about the massive creature that catches the human eye. Maybe it is the muscular frame, silky hair and gentle movements.
Now, when a horse is running through a field, that image becomes even more breathtaking as the massive creature emits pure grace in its movements.
It gets you pondering how such an immaculate creature has the capability of moving so gracefully.
But, there is one rare breed of horse known as…
“Akhal-Teke,”that takes beauty to a whole new level. The breed is from Turkmenistan and it’s very unique compared to the other breeds.
As you can see in the photo below, the “Akhal-Teke,” horse is so beautiful that it doesn’t even appear to be real. The skin and hair on these beauties is so smooth and shiny, emitting a surreal glow.
Unlike a standard breed of horses, these guys don’t have manes that sweep down along their necks, which make them appear a tad cleaner and more contoured.
Even their feet look fake, as the hooves are daintier than the average bulky hooves that clomp through the streets.
The horses are known in China as “horses from heaven,”and these beasts are so rare that there are only about 1,250 in existence.
You may be wondering how their coats get that fine sheen. It turns out that the luster comes from the unique structural properties of the actual hairs themselves.
After much research on the horse breed, scientists have concluded that the horse hair proteins are grouped in such a specific way that they reflect and refract the light when it hits the strands, much in the same way that metal does.
Don’t we all wish we had such luxurious locks! It’s evident that these beauties take great photos as their hair and build make them look like model horses and they look stunning against any background.
Seeing an image of one of these horses, makes you want to reach out and touch it, as the hair is so alluring and the frame so surreal. Several commenters shared the awe that they experienced when seeing the image of the horse for the first time…

While it is unlikely that most people will have an opportunity to see one of these beauties in person, at least we can admire them on video!
