A man was caught on camera at a minor league baseball game in Memphis eating what appears to be mayonnaise straight from the container. The mystery man has since been dubbed “Mayo Man” after cameras captured him Saturday eating mayo from the jar at the Memphis Redbirds game against Las Vegas Aviators. "Hold the phone. What is he eating?" ...
tweeted the Redbirds, sharing video of the faux pas. The team's social media account also did a breakdown of the man eating the condiment via a Twitter thread. The game cameras returned to the man in a tank top several times throughout the game, enjoying his snack with a wooden ladle.
There were no chips, sandwiches or even French Fries in sight. Just a man and a tub of mayonnaise. Hot dogs, peanuts and Cracker Jacks are all baseball stadium staples.
But mayonnaise? He ate it for over 91 minutes. As the Redbirds were giving a play by play Saturday of the man feasting on the mayonnaise, someone recognized “Mayo Man” and tweeted, “@clintthrasher what are you doing?”
