Chilling photo shows college students passed out on bar moments before they were hospitalized as their 'drinks were spiked'

A disturbing photograph has surfaced showing two college students collapsed on a bar moments before they were rushed to the hospital, following allegations that their drinks were spiked.

Zara Hull, her boyfriend Jake Sinder, and their friend Kaylie Pitze were enjoying themselves at a swim-up bar in a Cancun resort when Hull and Pitze's drinks were reportedly tampered with.

The image depicts Hull and Pitze slumped over the bar, holding hands as they complained of feeling severely unwell.

In an interview with CBS News, Hull recounted the incident from a Dallas hospital bed. “We just had a pool day,” she said. “We both got water and within two minutes, Jake had turned around and we both hit the bar, heads down at the same time.”

The two women suspected their drinks had been drugged and were quickly taken to a local hospital in Mexico. Hull experienced severe symptoms, including multiple convulsions, necessitating her transfer to a private hospital.

“Basically, it was just me and Zara in this hospital that had hundreds of rooms,” said Sinder. “All the locks are on the outside of the room so they can lock you in.”

Despite her critical condition, the hospital demanded exorbitant fees, starting at $10,000, which Hull found impossible to afford. “They were holding me captive. We're college students; we don't have the money they're asking for,” Hull said.

The group eventually arranged a private flight back to their home city, where Hull received the necessary medical care. “When we got here, I could not breathe on my own.

They would try to get me off the ventilator, and every time my lungs would just stop,” Hull recalled. She endured 18 convulsions, and while doctors could not definitively diagnose the cause, they suspect she was drugged.

Now recovering, Hull has expressed reluctance to travel abroad in the future. “We’re not going to leave the United States ever again,” she said. “They say the resort is the safest place; don’t leave it. That’s not true.”

The family is currently seeking donations to cover Hull’s substantial medical expenses and has chosen not to disclose the resort's name for safety reasons.
