Getting your car stuck in the mud or the sand isn’t really the idea of a fun day; especially if you happen to be in some kind of emergency.
First you make useless attempts to get your car out of the hole, by repeatedly backing up or pushing the gas.
This should only be attempted a few times before you realize, not only that it won’t work, but you’re really making matters worse by deepening the hole.
However, not all hope is lost; not if you know this simple, yet very effective trick!
This guy had his vehicle stuck in the mud so he tied a piece of wood plank to one of the rear tires in such…
a fashion that, when he backed up; the plank would serve as leverage to increase the surface area of the tire and slowly move past the muddy terrain.
Considering the availability of resources, this technique could be further improved by placing another wooden planks on the other read tire or perhaps even laid out flat on the ground.
This would have provided simultaneous traction to all tires. Nonetheless, if all you can get a hold of, is one small piece of wood such as this one, this is the best possible way to use it.
Here are some of the reactions from viewers:
Nicholas Laster: "I actually tried this the other day when I was stuck, it worked great 10/10 would do again."
Javier Bonilla: "Genius, just genius. I love human ingenuity!”
Amanda Sinclair: "thank you for posting this .. just had to get husbands car out of the mud in our yard lol .works on Kia optima lol.”
A man suggested not to try this if you have a car with front wheel drive:
U.S Army Smith2: "I did this and tied it just like this bored underneath the car rolled around ripped my whole front bumper off. Don't do this if you have a car with front wheel drive”
You MUST make sure the piece of wood you use, is strong enough to withstand the weight and force of the car or truck; otherwise it’ll break an possibly cause more damage to your vehicle.
